The Real RVL Reveal

Welcome to my new weight-loss blog! I have started a new product called RVL (pronounced: Reveal). It has more nutritional value per calorie than ANY other weight-loss product on the market. I am starting this blog, to keep tabs on myself, and to keep anyone interested informed. Keep checking back regularly (FOLLOW ME) for updates. If you are just joining in... scroll down to the bottom to start at the beginning of my journey.

BEFORE, DURING & AFTER

I had an epiphany while working out today! As stated in a previous post, there is a mirror mounted on the wall at an angle in front of the treadmill so hubby can watch TV while working out. As I am a music listener I am stuck staring at my own image for the duration of my workout. Motivation in itself to lose weight, as my face shows my weight quickly. Sometimes, I enjoy what I see. As I am a representative of Jockey Person to Person, my workout gear is always matchy-match (would it be any other way??) right down to the runners. My jewelry is either Erin Miller or Silpada... Either way, beautiful. I focus on my necklace bouncing across my newly found shoulder blades and chest bone, and ignore the hereditary jiggling jowls... Today it hit me: In the "FEEL GOOD ABOUT MYSELF" market, I have you covered BEFORE, DURING & AFTER! A good workout doesn't NEED good clothes, but for me it is a first step to 'getting into the zone'... It does need good shoes (unless it's yoga... Then it's the other way around!) but working out in your hubby's oversized t-shirt does not instill good feelings about your body! My Mona-Vie RVL offers me the energy I need to get off the couch. I actually WANT to work out! I look forward to it. My cheating has been way low, meaning my self esteem has been higher (from not lying to myself!) so many other great factors with the RVL! I can't believe I stopped. (why the heck did I stop??? Oh right... 'The competition'. Bad choice on my part. Glad I'm back on track.) The jewelry? When you start to FEEL good about yourself, you want to LOOK good as well! I started putting on make-up again. Dressing nicer. Frumpy clothes: bye bye! Jockey P2P helps me with that, too... They carry some lovely coordinating outfits. LOUMIDEES, a local consignment store, as well! She has helped me SO much with fashion (as has my BFF, Tina!). Time to look the part. Walk the walk! So there it is! For feeling good inside and outside, I have you covered BEFORE, DURING & AFTER! One stop shopping! Hehehe.

bang on...

I had my official weigh-in tonight. I was bang-on where I thought I would be. 148. Not bad since I hadn't weighed in since before Christmas. So the three weeks over Christmas, I gained only one pound. I am back on track now, and once again only 6lbs away from getting back to goal. I am once again enjoying the shakes for breakfast and lunch and eating the body-by-vi cookies for snacks. I cut up the cookies and toast them. They are like little mini biscotti's. Fun! I'm not a big fan of the RVL 'chocolate' bar snacks. I have a case of them... But prefer the cookies (and the RVL berry-bars, but have lots of cookies) I'm not taking the metabolism booster. Just slow and steady.

happy New Year! Back to Basics!

Hello and happy new year! I just finished my first chocolate RVL shake of the new year! Actually, my first one in a long while. I don't have my official weight recorded, but according to my home scale, I am about 6-7 lbs over goal. Not bad for closing the holidays. I also have a confession to make... A few months back, I switched to Body By Vi, a competing company in the new nutritional weightloss department. That's actually when I started gaining again. The shakes left me hungry. They were thin and didn't have as much oomph to them. My thinking was strictly cost-wise. It was cheaper. Hmmmm? If it ain't broke, don't fix it! I was panicking a little, as I went out of 'leeway' (three pounds over goal) I had two weeks to get back in so, I went on a stupid crash diet. Yes, I lost the weight... But immediately afterwards, I started to gain again. I was feeling ill, my skin went pasty and blotchy. As my weight started to climb again over the holiday season, I was about to go on it AGAIN, to get back down. Um...AGAIN? Why would any one put their body through that AGAIN? I decided against it, went back on my MONA-VIE website, and ordered more shakes. So, I am going back to basics. eating healthy, and starting my exercise regime again! I bought a yoga mat for Christmas, and the treadmill is coming upstairs. I am looking forward to getting my energy back. That's another thing the body-by-vi didn't provide. I had to use a spoon to scrape the last bits of shake off the cup. I'd forgotten about that. Thick and rich. And yummy! I am totally looking forward to that again, too!

She Shoots... She Scores!!!!

GOAL!

Okay, I swear I wrote TWO posts previous to this (and my measurements!!!!!!) .... to keep y'all up-to-date....  I hope you don't think I just gave up.  I didn't.  I am THERE!  I hit GOAL!  Yippee!   I have since chucked the scrap piece of paper I had my measurements on... as I SWEAR, I posted them! Not there.  Hmmm.   Blogger don't like me.  If I recall, I am now down about 21.75 inches or something.... yeah, yeah... I'll re-measure tomorrow.   As for hitting goal weight: I am 1/4 lbs down from goal!  woot woot! LOL

Went to Amy's high-low class on Tuesday night.  Wow.  Haven't worked out like that for years!  Even when I was 105 lbs, I wasn't healthy... I drank black coffee and smoked cigarettes (reference, people?) I KEPT UP!  I messed up on a few moves, but for the most part, I did the 'next level' part!  I even shimmied!  I HATED to shimmy when I was bigger...  didn't feel right.... Shimmy felt right.   No grape vine...I'm good at grape vine! *sigh*

Many changes in my world.  Many triggers triggering.  My stress factor is WAY UP THERE right now, and having just hit goal.... I am VERY sensitive to it.   Everyone has their triggers.... Best to learn what they are... As I said, I have lost weight before... NOW is the true challenge.

RVL is coming out with vanilla cream.... so I am going to give that a taste test for my maintenance ... but just the shakes, no "system" anymore...  Breaky, baby... Breaky.  Yum.

Tomorrow is official day.  I am sure I will still be 'there'... but the B***H is being a prima-dona....(wink wink) I think I would have tried harder to maintain my size 5 in the past if someone had of ACTUALLY been honest and told me the older you get... the HARDER it gets!

RVL & Motivation

I had written a long, long post on my iPhone... Only to have the whole thing lost in cyber-space.  UGH!  Not sure exactly what I had written, but I just wanted to let you know where everything was at.  Remember at the beginning, I said if it didn't work, I would just say "Live and Learn" and move on, but if it DID work, I would jump up on the roof top and shout it out? This is me shouting from the rooftop: I LOVE this!  IT WORKS! .... More on this in a bit. LOL

Meanwhile, I have also discovered, I am now VERY good at jumping up!  (I wanted something from the top shelf of the cupboard the other day, and right then and there, I JUMPED up onto the counter and grabbed it!  I haven't jumped up onto a counter since I was 17!  OMG!  I didn't even THINK about it... I just did it.)

Last week, I had a friend over, and I told her how wonderful this product has been for me.  I told her how easy it has been and how energetic I have become.  She, (a skinny little thing, who has only ever experienced being fat whilst with child,) then went on to tell me that it was only due to my own motivation, (of both cost as well as new diet) as opposed to the actual product.  Now, I must stop here and remind you that I am A PROFESSIONAL dieter!  I have paid MAJOR money before to lose weight, I have been motivated beyond the depths of hunger to stick to many a diet...  This has not been due to motivation.  Yes,  motivation AS WELL... But not solely motivation.  It wasn't always easy.  I 'cheated' (quite) a few times...  Generally, in the past however, when I 'cheated' (on ANY type of diet, be it new, expensive or what-have-you), I would then fall off the eating wagon and snarf down anything that didn't move.  Not with this.  I have been able to resist most temptations, I have exercised to balance any 'bad food' taken in.

Again, the main shocker here for me has been the energy.  I WANT to exercise!  I am enjoying it!  Yes, I have lost weight before... ALL were a long hard chore, with exercise being the nasty thing I HAD to do to keep it going.  I was GOOD at starving myself.  I was good at eating only bananas for one day and brown rice the next.  I was good at eating teeny-tiny boxes of pre-made food whilst my friends ate their yummy Mexican food in front of me.  I was good at measuring and counting points endlessly (and yet still plateauing for 6 months!)....  I was good with the food part, for the most part.  I KNOW my food weaknesses.  RVL has helped me over-come those weaknesses.    RVL has REALLY helped me with that.  I was a breakfast skipper, and then therefor, a lunch gorger... LOL   Now, with my shakes and bars, I am not only getting the nutrition my body needs, but am full and satisfied.  I feel no NEED to cheat.  That makes a HUGE difference in a diet.

Many have asked me about maintenance.  I figure I am about to go on it next week.  I will be keeping my shakes for breakfast, but that is all.  Have I learned anything from a 'meal replacement' diet?  I AM A PROFESSIONAL DIETER!  What the hell do I need to learn?  To lose weight, you need to eat less calories, and exercise more.  Unfortunately for most, less calories means less nutrition.... Or so much dark greens and exotic veggies, you never want to look at the produce department ever again! (...and they usually just rot in your veggie tray in the fridge!)    I HAVE learned that it's not only okay, but GOOD (as in yummy) to eat a normal large salad with whatever meat the family is having for dinner... I HAVE learned that restaurants actually offer a side salad instead of french-fries with your meal (WHO KNEW????)  I HAVE learned, that if I want some Chinese take-out, I have to WORK-OUT....  So, has the professional learned anything?  YES!  My whole train of thinking has changed, because of RVL.

I was going to quit TOPS when I hit goal, because... well, I'm at goal.  Why keep going?  And then I remembered all those other times when I 'forgot what I had learned'...  So I'm sticking to it for another year or so.  RVL is there for me, and so are my TOPS friends.  Support is good.   MV has an awesome support web-page made just for RVL users.  It helps me track everything I have done and/or need, and keeps me motivated as well.

I have gone from a size 14 to a 10.   I just bought some smokin' hot size 9-10 jeans, that may already be too small.... tee hee hee.... And SWIM SUITS!  I now have a cornucopia of colours and styles to wear this summer!  Before, I had my black skirted one-piece.  Ugh!  No more!

Seriously, if you want to lose like I have...  just do it:  Click the 'JOIN" button,  e-mail me, facebook me, phone me, message me.  THIS PRODUCT WORKS.  Be skinny by summer!  I can help.

Oh!  I almost forgot....  Test Subject #2 lost 10.4 lbs in 2 months... and 7.6 inches in one month (I forgot to measure her this month... Will update you on that tomorrow.

No weigh-in today

I have been on holidays. Actually staying within my calorie intake, even if I'm not truly 'sticking' to my eating plan. Walking a lot and swimming when I can. (Does shopping count as excersize?)

I will do an unofficial weigh-in, soon. But I don't have high hopes. LOL.

On a good note, I bought some size 9-10 jeans this week... Woot woot!
