Well, I'm off to a grand start! I weighed in this morning... and.... OMG!!! 159.6!!!! Yoinks! How on Earth did THAT happen? So I will be taking 158.5 as my "official start weight" (see yesterdays blog for the what and why) and have taken my measurements as well. They aren't too shockingly bad, thank heavens.
Is it knowing that I was going on a diet that 'let' me free-for-all on Christmas goodies? Geeesh! Now I doubt that I will be even close to goal for my birthday. 145 at 45 seems a little far fetched for 13 days. That would basically be a pound a day. Not even for this plan. Oh well. By the end of the year, at least. That I can commit to.
Okay, so on to business. Taste. What did it TASTE like? It smells like cake mix! Mmmm. When I mixed it up in my Magic Bullet, it was creamy and thick. Remember, that I did a good three weeks a while back with the shake thing... That was NOT thick and creamy when I mixed it. This RVL shake was chocolatey with a touch of berry. Yummy. I used the same amount of unsweetened vanilla almond drink (I've become somewhat lactose intolerant with age). It honestly tasted like a milkshake! I only used a 70cc scoop instead of the enclosed scoop of 94cc, thinking I would save some for snack... But I am still a little hungry, (not starving!) so from now on will take the allotted amount. Can't wait for my bar snack, I hear it is de-lish!!!
As for excersizing, they recommend 30 minutes at least 3-4 (more if possible) times per week. Even just walking. Well, even with all my new-found enthusiasm, an extra 30 minutes isn't just going to add itself to my day. My plan? I have a pair of 5 lbs ankle weights and a pair of 2 lbs wrist weights. My WHOLE day will become my work out. Well, okay, a few hours. No need to kill myself!
So onward and upward. I will post my weight and measurements on the side (no new 'before' pictures! The previous fat pix will do just fine, thank you very much!) I will also check in later after my TOPS weigh-in to compare.
Wish me luck!
