ORDER IN!

I just placed my order and I am SOOO excited! I'm not certain if there was a glitch, but there was NO TAX!!! OMG! That's like, $32.00 savings right there! I also have free-shipping, which was on option on sign-up... So, the whole kit-and-caboodle cost only $269.00. Yes, on the first impression, that sounds like a lot... but put it in perspective: It is a meal REPLACEMENT. Breakfast and lunch (if you wish to do both: some are only doing breakfast, which makes the shake last longer, others are halving the shake portion, as it is apparently VERY filling. I will let you know what I end up doing) and SNACKS are being replaced by these foods. Then, you have a nice big salad with protein for dinner... So really, if you are skipping all these other foods, you are not spending $269.00.

I have been keeping a financial budget for the last few months, and will let you know, as well, how much I am saving on food. I don't know about you... but we spend an awful LOT on food... and (at LEAST) 1/4 of it gets wasted. I tend to think that eggplant, butter squash, cauliflower and cottage cheese are a good idea at the market, but once in my fridge, they sit and sit and sit... and rot or mold. Scientific experiments. Blech. No wasting with RVL.

But even so, I still feel a little guilty (and strapped) on forking out $269.00 in one fell swoop, this close to Christmas. Hubby was laid off two years ago, and has been working construction for the last year... He LOVES it, a huge difference from his high-stress techie job, but the money just isn't there. I run a day care, and I have 4 of my 7 children moving away over the next few months... Funds are tight. I raided my piggy-bank. Wow! $120.00 in there! Amazing what accumulates with Loonies and Twoonies! So that helps a bit. I've also decreed that I won't BUY any alcohol over the holidays. I have a stash of red wine that has been sitting for a while, I just bottled some yummy ciders at the U-Brew... That should get me through all those parties!

As soon as the products arrive, I will be in like Flynn.... and I'll keep you up-to-date!
